Today I made the Mother of all green vegetable juices! So freakin good.

It was very green, like all my juices, so if you’re not a green fan, add in some fruit like one or two green apples. That’ll make it sweet enough to be enjoyable for you while still giving you an amazing amount of greens.

Greens are our life-blood. They help us to stay strong, balanced, energised, happy and calm. If you are often…

Today’s juice ingredients…

That’s 1 very large cucumber, slightly bent (make all the jokes you want Winking smile), 1/2 bunch flat leaf parsley, 6 giant leaves Swiss chard (the red stemmed kind…so pretty), 6 stalks kale, a head of cos lettuce, 1 inch of fresh turmeric (divine), 1 beautiful ripe lemon with peel (cut the peel off if you don’t have use organic lemons) and 4 leaves of beet greens.

Add your apples to this combo and juice away! I love the freshness from the cos lettuce and cucumber, the tartness from the lemon, the ZING from the turmeric and the earthiness from the dark leafy greens.

Enjoy in a pretty glass (not this giant red jug I drank mine out of…classy) all cosy inside or in the sunshine with a book.

    You just inspired me to start my day off with juice! Ok, my fav. Combo: beets, ginger, lime, a carrot or two and an apple… Spicy, sweet, and looks like red wine ;)

    Hey Casey, that is my kinda juice. I, too, make a really large serving (none of these 1 serving size for me – if you are gonna dirty your juicer, you had better make it worth it!) I wish I could cheers you!

    Hi Casey
    I have big request to I have start detox at the end of January ( following Natalia Rose advice) I did not want to loose only to clean my body. I am very active I am runner (5 times a week 6-7miles) I do not know what has happened and why but at the end of march I did not have energy for my running so I took break I also lost my period ( never happened to me before!!!) I did not loose weight I start to eat much more also in the morning not only green juice I start to run again at the end of April but my period did not come yet. I do not followed Natalia rules only with green juice and I eat lot of green but for eating purpose I incorporated THRIVE rules from Brendon Brazier. I have much more energy. I was in doctor all blood test done is ok everything ultrasound my iron level everything. I blame that detox for loosing my period. Any advice? Please help me. My doc told me that detox took my essential fat(which I need for period etc.) I eat avocado coconut nuts, daily We want baby with my husband but now it is not possible. What I can do more?

      Hi Sam,
      There are so many factors involved here that I couldn’t give you a clear answer without going into your history in a lot of detail in a consult. I suggest you just focus on eating clean, high quality wholefoods now, with TONS of greens, get colon cleansing and manage your stress as well as you can. If you do all these things are you are ensuring you are getting all the minerals you need (maybe through a great supplement), your period should return in time. It can take a little while to normalise but if you are eating enough and high quality food and looking after yourself mentally and emotionally too, your period should return soon enough. A big change in diet can affect your period hugely, and it can even go a way, until your body normalises again.
