Great health and abundant energy comes first…
Exceptional health is the cornerstone to an abundant, joyful and satisfying life. We have all heard the phrase “If you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything” and for this reason helping you to take steps towards vibrant health and energy is generally the first step.
By incorporating clean, high quality, mostly alkaline raw and whole foods into your diet and focusing on effective deep tissue and cellular cleansing you will get the energy, body and health that will allow you to live a life you are totally in love with. A healthy body and mind allows you to go after your dreams and live with clarity, passion and purpose.
This is the real target in life – to live to your highest possible potential and to feel happy and fulfilled in your choices, relationships, career and life experience. Amazing health and a beautiful body purely facilitates this greater goal.
As your health and energy begin to sky-rocket, a new and shinier view of the world and its endless possibilities opens up and the desire to be your most sensational on all levels of being becomes almost impossible to ignore. It has certainly given me and countless others these incredible benefits and I say with complete honesty that I have never felt more fulfilled, healthy, joyous and grateful for the abundance I have in my life than I do right now.
Cleansing and detoxification
By eating higher quality foods, in their most natural form and avoiding toxins in processed foods you are giving your body the opportunity to divert its attention to deeply cleansing and stirring up all the old junk from years past sitting and swimming in your cells and body fluids. A delicious image right? It’s no wonder you want to get it all out!
As your body goes to work to clean itself up, the toxic matter in your body (and believe me, because of processed convenience foods and the environment we live in today there is plenty in there!) is released into your bloodstream to allow it to be removed through the body’s elimination channels.
As this occurs some symptoms may surface,such as skin irritations, acne, fatigue, lack of energy, headaches, diarrhea, constipation and more. Of course we want to avoid these symptoms as much as possible and they can be greatly minimized if not avoided altogether by paying lots of attention to not only what we put into our bodies, but also to what we get out.
True detoxification and cleansing occurs not when toxins are stirred up and enter the bloodstream, but when they are safely and effectively released from the body. There are many ways that we can help our bodies to do this. You might choose to slow down the amount of clean raw and whole foods you are introducing into your diet so the detox is less intense (overcooked or poor quality foods will quickly halt the detoxification process). There are also many other helpers, including deep breathing, sweating, skin brushing, colonics, enemas and exercise to name a few. Some of these may sound more appealing than others but they will all make a huge difference to the level of energy, vitality, body awareness and even the spiritual connection you feel. I urge you to employ as many of these methods as possible on a regular basis for optimum results. I would never have healed my debilitating and painful eczema and the seemingly constant colds and flus without regular use of one or more of these tools. What is a clean raw and whole foods diet?
I use the term “clean foods” to describe all foods which are easily assimilated, digested and eliminated form your body. These are the clean foods we need to be eating for optimal health. The ultimate clean foods are fresh fruits and vegetables.
Other clean foods high quality foods such as cooked vegetables, raw nuts and seeds, raw dairy if you eat it, wild fish, whole grains such as millet and quinoa and soaked and sprouted pulses and beans. These foods while still more difficult to digest than fresh fruits and vegetables, will not degenerate the body when eaten with fresh vegetables and in small quantities.
Heavily processed foods, meats, chemical laden packaged foods, pasteurised cow’s dairy, poor quality grains and white flour, bread, pasta, white or refined sugar, refined salt – these are the things that will age you quickly, make you feel terrible, create irritability and moodiness, encourage symptoms and poor bowel elimination and generally create a heavy and unhealthy body.
Eating a diet that is made up primarily of clean foods with ideally 70-80% fresh vegetables and some fruits with the remaining 20-30% being high quality whole foods as much as possible has the power to transform your health, body and energy to new heights you may never have imagined before.
Getting back to eating food in its natural form, without processing and chemicals added, and enjoying natural flavours will bring your body back into balance also. Your taste buds will quickly catch up and you will enjoy feeling light, lean and nourished soon. You will then find it hard to imagine eating those packaged and junk foods ever again.
Why exactly are raw foods?
Raw foods are foods in their most natural state – straight from Mother Earth. Raw foods include fresh and dried fruits, fresh vegetables, raw nuts and seeds, herbs, seaweeds, cold processed oils, many condiments, and superfoods. Then there are raw, living foods, meaning they are literally alive, such as sprouted grains, sprouted seeds and sprouted beans.
You will be surprised by the abundance of foods in this group and their delicious flavours, textures and smells. In fact, my diet broadened at least triple-fold after stepping into this way of life. I discovered new ways of eating that give me more sensory pleasure than any other way of eating I have previously experienced.
You will be amazed at what these deceptively simple foods can create including rich, sweet desserts, spicy dishes, warm and cold foods, crunchy textures and so much more. You can even make or buy raw crackers, raw pizza and raw breads made with combinations of raw nuts, seeds, fruits and vegetables dehydrated slowly at temperatures below 48 degrees Celsius to maintain the enzymes destroyed at higher temperatures.
Raw versions of your old favourites can really help if you are new to raw foods while you transition, or even as a staple in your diet long term provided you don’t overdo the nuts and seeds. Over time it is likely you will naturally choose to simplify your diet as your body reaches new states of cleanliness.
I feel I eat more indulgently now than ever before. To manage my weight in the past I would almost never touch sweets or desserts or have carbohydrate, sugar or dairy heavy foods. At least not without a huge amount of guilt! Now I get to enjoy a huge range of foods that feel equally as guilty but taste better and promote my health rather than detracting from it!
Why eat a clean raw and whole food diet?
So we all know that fresh fruits and vegetables are the healthiest foods we can eat, but are you aware of just how positively they can transform you? Not just your physical appearance either, although this is certainly a compelling enough reason for most people to include more raw foods in their diet.
Raw foods are choc-full of enzymes, nutrients and most-importantly – life! Life Force Energy runs through raw plant food which in turn runs through us, increasing our energetic vibration. Remember, all matter is energy including humans. So if you truly want to soar with life and energy, it makes sense to consume those things that actually have the Life Force Energy to give them to you!
Physical benefits typically include:
- Fast and effortless weight release with only a few simple and easy rules to ensure the desired results
- Clearer skin (I am testament to this after healing my skin of severe eczema and people often thinking I am wearing make up when I rarely do!)
- A flatter stomach as the body starts to be cleansed of old toxic matter
- More energy than you’ve had since your youth – consistently!
- Ailments often improve and some people are able to decrease and even stop taking medications (I did it!)
- Heightened body awareness and connection with your body’s needs
- Feeling sexier

How to successfully incorporate more clean foods into your diet
In my experience the key to successfully incorporating more raw foods in your diet is to focus on SIMPLICITY. This also ensures that food preparation is easy, quick and cheap – three things that are likely to have a huge impact on how smooth your transition to this lifestyle is and how much joy you find in it. I know that if I had to spend more than 15 minutes at a time in the kitchen (unless I choose to) or if the food wasn’t delicious I wouldn’t be interested! This approach is not about aiming for a certain percentage of raw food in your diet, though it can be useful as a visual when planning or making your meals. It is about flooding your body with enzymes, nutrients and life, while ensuring effective elimination of toxic matter from your body so that you are generating a cleaner and lighter body free of disease.
I can’t emphasise enough that it is about progress, not perfection with this lifestyle. Consistent improvements are the key as and when your body is clean enough and you are mentally and emotionally ready to take your diet to another level. One way of knowing if you are ready to move forward is by how much you are enjoying the lifestyle, how well you feel and how much support and guidance you have. Whilst the benefits of this lifestyle can almost always be felt within only a few days, it takes time to form any new habit and really feel comfortable with it, so it is important to listen to your body and pace yourself accordingly.
One of the best and easiest ways to instantly feel more vital and energetic and vastly increase the amount of raw nutrients in your diet is by incorporating a delicious green vegetable juice or green smoothie into your diet daily, ideally for breakfast. A big salad with your lunchtime meal is also a great idea.
One of the most frequent mistakes people make when moving into this lifestyle is to include a very large amount of nuts, seeds and dried fruits in their diet instead of focusing on fresh vegetables and fruits. I have made this mistake myself many times so I am talking from experience! It is much more cleansing and health-supporting to eat a giant plate of lightly steamed greens with some fresh herbs and other lightly cooked vegetables and soups than it is to eat a half kilo of nuts and dried fruits just because they are raw. It is for this reason that I don’t recommend relying on percentages of raw food in the diet too heavily! More often than not this tendency to overeat on the denser raw foods like nuts and dried fruits comes when someone transitions to a high raw diet very quickly and hasn’t yet released their physical or emotional reliance on certain foods. Why the focus on digestive health?
You might have noticed that I talk a lot about how foods are digested and the role of detoxifying in improving digestive health. This is because if you don’t have good digestion where you can effectively break down foods, assimilate nutrients from them and then fully eliminate what you don’t need your health will suffer. Everything is tied to your digestive health because if that’s not working properly you will be unable to give yourself what you need in terms of nutrition and unable to properly remove what will cause toxic build up in your body so that your quality of life and health dramatically declines.
To assist your digestion, focus on doing the following:
- Eat most plant foods in their fresh or lightly cooked form (mostly vegetables)
- Food combine or eat simple combinations of food rather than having 20 ingredients in one meal
- Always eat fresh vegetables with your cooked meals to help the cooked food digest and move through your body
- Avoid drinking liquids with your meals. They dilute the enzymes in your stomach making food harder to digest
- Pay attention to your bowel eliminations. If you are constipated or irregular try some colon hydrotherapy sessions or buy at enema kit to use at home to get things moving
- Take a high quality digestive enzyme (stick with wholefood based enzymes) before your meal to help your body break down your food
- Eat cultured foods such as cultured vegetables or freshly made kefir with your meals so assist in digestion
Lifestyle health and happiness
As you begin to consume more life-giving, alkaline raw foods and support the body to effectively and safely cleanse, you will start feeling more alive, aware and energetic than ever before. By lightening up your body physically and pouring in more Life Force Energy, you will also be creating space for energy to be directed elsewhere.
With the increased awareness and mental clarity that comes from this lifestyle, your attention can be directed towards creating wonderful new experiences and really going for the magnificent life you dream of. It also tends to highlight the areas in your life that need to be worked on or changed – those areas that really aren’t supporting you or making you feel aligned with your true and highest self. This is wonderful and exciting but it can also be challenging and for many somewhat intimidating. Getting personal support can really make all the difference when going through these times.
I can’t recommend this lifestyle to you enough for the whole person shifts and growth it facilitates and the immense joy and freedom you can feel by living this way. It is what we all deserve but it has been squashed and hidden behind toxic foods, chemicals and addictions, societal norms and learned habits and behaviours. This lifestyle allows you to see beyond the mist and move into the highest vision you have for yourself where body, mind, spirit and emotion dance together in harmony.

- Everything we discuss and everything you share with me via email, phone or in person will always remain confidential unless we have specifically discussed otherwise.
I am both a Health and Detox Counsellor and a Life Coach and I bring my knowledge, skills and experience from all aspects of these fields to my work with you so that you get maximum value and a totally holistic (whole person) approach to your unique goals and needs. While the majority of my clients work with me on both their health and lifestyle improvements, I also work with clients on just one or the other.
